The Hampshire Thrashers are delighted to announce Jason Walker as the Head Coach of the newly setup Thrashers Youth team.
Jason has coached youth football since 1998, so brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding about working with the stars of tomorrow.Beginning in the college ranks at Brockenhurst he has also been heavily involved with local youth teams most recently the Farnham Knights and has seen many players progress to GB squads. In 2004 he was involved with the Team England coaching setup.
His college players Hall of Fame includes Shaun Smith who, as many may have seen on Sky sports this year is currently on the Carolina Panthers squad fighting for a place in the NFL.
The Thrashers youth team has been training since early 2009 and are hoping to fulfil enough fixtures this season to allow them to enter into the BAFL Youth league in 2010. The squad has 30 regular players learning their trade under the tutorage of Walker and is coaching staff.
